Love Thy Enemy
Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories

Opposition. What is it about watching a great battle between good and evil that we like so much? Why is it that we can’t get enough of Batman and the Joker… Dr. Who and Davros… Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader…?
Who are your favourite fictional nemeses? I’ve always found it was funny, in movies, when the villain would delight in the conflict and say something like ‘Ah! You are a worthy opponent!’… and sometimes even give the hero a fighting chance: kicking a sword back; letting him struggle to his feet for a comeback; insisting on fighting him personally, despite willing minions. Being a comics fan, I’ve always loved the recurring nemesis: Lex Luthor, Dr Doom, or Magneto. This is the character who *always* makes a showy getaway, threatening to finish the good guys off *next* time.
~ And we can’t wait, can we? ~
Aaaand, finally, just in case *you* have an enemy, the Zen Habits website gives the lowdown on forgiving and forgetting.
