fabryan-1Launched in 2010 by self-taught designer Samantha-Jane, the clothing label Fabryan mixes ethical values with couture aesthetics to create one of a kind pieces, worthy of A-List red carpets.
Having already been featured in some of the world’s top publications, including Tatler, Vouge and Glamour magazine, the brand offers simplicity but elegance for the feminine and fashion conscious woman.

Intricate hand techniques, fine fabrics and a variety of textures are infused together to create everything from evening gowns, cute accessories and home decor, all of which are designed and made in the UK. Fabryan also honors its cooperate social responsibility, donating a portion of their sales to the Children of Haggai Foundation and trying to source the majority of their fabrics locally.

Elegant, imaginative and ethical, everything you would want from a high-end clothing company.

AuraAura Borealis introduces us to the Hype casual wear line.

HypeHaving been recognized in recent seasons as a brand with truly international influence, Hype sounds the bell today for its rapid, unruly rise by announcing an artistic collaboration with global online fashion and beauty retailer, ASOS.

The renegade fashion label – started in the summer of 2011 in a bedroom in Leicester and propelled to the doorsteps of the masses by positive word of mouth only. The collection’s fully monochrome and print-free, yet somehow retains all the insubordinate inclinations of the brand’s previous work.

To celebrate the launch, the brand has put together a short film. A darker-than-usual aesthetic is prescient throughout the collection: tense, edgy lines snap with bold, brassy branding; shadowy blacks wrestle blinding, moonlight whites; minimal throughout, sumptuous within – ubiquitous but totally unique, that’s the brand’s way.

AuraAura Borealis puts the spotlight on Alanna Rose designs.

Inspired by the beach culture and life style of her native country Australia, Alanna Rose creates luxury resort and swimwear pieces, which mirror the sunshine, beauty and sparkle of her home-land.

Her designs offer an elegant and sophisticated array of Kaftans and beach covers, using only luxurious silks, soft chiffon and adorning many of the designs with Swarovski embellishments and crystals, evoking a touch of glamour of each piece. The label showcased in London for the first time this February and was a hit with the Bloggeratti.

It may still be winter, but with the sun popping its head out of the clouds, it’s never too early to start planning your bikini wardrobe and using it as motivation to get fit.

AuraAura Borealis from See Steal Style Magazine blogs about Face Lace.

face-lace1 (2)Face Lace first caught our eye during London Fashion Week, when they lent their creative flair to the Liz Black fashion presentation, and we simply couldn’t get enough of them.

Their SS14 collection includes beautiful and feminine stick-on eye and brow laces, as well as alluring statement masks.

Lace continues to be a major trend on the catwalks, which has been cleverly translated into the beauty arena with Face Lace.

The designs do not fade, or smudge and can be applied in less than a minute, but look uber-professional.

Created by leading make-up artist Phyllis Cohen, who has also developed her own adhesive, the clever designs give everyone the chance to create professional make-up effects at home.

From her website:

Phyllis is a makeup artist who is famous for her intricate designs and staggeringly bold fashion feats.

Consider painting a desert scene which transformed from night to day, to full bloom, all on an eyelid, for a TV commercial, with no CGI.

This is the sort of thing Phyllis considers a normal day at the office! If you look at the detail in the fashion illustrations Phyllis did at the start of her career you’ll understand why. Read More
